Boys Season Ends With a THRILLER

5/14/10 - The boys season finished last night at Taft as the #1 seeded Toreadors defeated the #9 Chancellors 25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 28-30, 15-12.  Taft just squeeked by on their heals as Chatsworth made Taft earn the win in 5 games.  Games 1, 2, and 3 were "normal" games but games 4 and 5 had a finals type atmosphere.  There were 5 match points for Taft and Chatsworth fought back each one and forced a game 5.  In game 5 the Chancellors started hot but a few questionable calls by the referees and a couple of key mistakes by Chatsworth and Taft stole the win.

In all the season was not as successful as anticipated but it ended with a bang.  The boys left everything they had on the court and should not be able to say 'what if'.  On the brighter side, based on the performance of key players such as Sean Wheeler and Daniel Rochin, there should be at least two All-City section players coming from Chatsworth.  Best of luck to all Chatsworth volleyball players in the future as we expect big things from all of you.

Round 2 in the Books...Narbonne Knocked Out

5/11/10 - The boys finished the 2nd round in convincing fashion defeating the higher seeded Gauchos in 4 games.  The first game went to Narbonne 25-27.  Chatsworth came out winning another tough one 25-23.  After this game the Chancellors ran away with game 3 and 4, 25-13 and 25-19 respectively.  The Chancellors play their next game on Thursday at 7:00 pm at #1 Taft who were winners 3-0 over Cleveland.  The Chancellors are looking to avenge three close matches against Taft this year and go to the semi-finals.  Go to Taft and cheer on your Chancellors on Thursday.

Boys Take Care of Business in Round 1

5/7/10 - The boys made quick work of Fremont yesterday sweeping the visitors in 3 games 25-15, 25-7, 25-14.  Their next oppenent will be #8 Narbonne HS on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 7 pm at Narbonne HS.  All fans wanting to attend should be there by 6:30 to park.  Good luck boys, make us proud.
